Organizing function entails the actual translation of plans into coherent work activities to achieve goals. Work activities refer to all the formal procedures and process meant to achieve goals. Coherence refers to the unity of processes and procedures mean to attain goals in that there outcomes should not be conflicting. For example if an organization has planned to implement knowledge management systems into the organization but the rewards systems of organization value individual contributions rather than collective contribution the KM system will fail because the procedures and processes in organization are not geared towards goal attainment. Only when all the activities are in harmony, the organization will be able to see results.
