The Avonlea general store, as the name suggests, was a store for everything. The store is owned by Ed and Elvira Lawson. Later in the series, Muriel moves back to Avonlea permanently where she takes over the general store.

In the "Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel" Olivia portrays the character Alice Lawson who works in the store.
