Diamond Platnumz, born Nasibu Abdul Juma, is a Tanzanian bongo artist. Diamond began pursuing his interest in music while he was attending school, performing at local talent shows. He is an only child and throughout his career, has been much supported by his mother. He has won several awards including Best Upcoming Artist at Kilimanjaro Tanzania Music Awards in 2010 and Best Male Artist from Tanzania at Kenya’s Nzumari Music Awards in 2011. Diamond is known to be one of the highest paid musicians in all of East Africa.
