Marco Verratti (born 5 November 1992) is an Italian footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1 and the Italy national football team.

On 1 June 2014, Verratti was selected in Italy's 23-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. In Italy's opening match of the tournament, he made his first competitive start for the Azzurri, forming a midfield trio with Andrea Pirlo and Daniele de Rossi in a 2–1 defeat of England in Manaus.
