Pugs were imported from China to Europe by the Dutch East India Company in the 16th century. They are well associated with Royalty, and now Hollywood stars.

Pugs have a life span of 15 years, and is a loving, funny, high spirited, energetic, highly intelligent and affectionate dog that is small, thickset,and stocky, with large, dark, wide set eyes, and deep wrinkles.
