It was broadcast in 1974 on NET (now known as TV Asahi)for 35 episodes. It is the third entry in the Kamen Rider Series.

Keisuke Jin and his father Kentaro Jin (a Robotic professor) are attacked by the Government Of Darkness (GOD)and the professor's technology stolen. Keisuke and Kentaro are both mortally wounded in the attack, but before he dies, Kentaro transforms his son into Kamen Rider X. To avenge his father's death and ensure the safety of the entire world, Keisuke uses this technology as he battles the monstrous minions of G.O.D which resembles Greek mythology creatures.
