educational psychologist
Educational psychologist is a teacher with additional qualifications in psychology, responsible for conducting a statutory assessment of special education needs to determine whether a child with special educational needs requires a Statement of educational needs.Educational psychologists also devise packages to assist learning, to support parents and school staff, and to facilitate behaviour change. If provision within a school under School Action and School Action Plus is not meeting the child's needs, they may be asked to assess the child with a view to more specialised provision, either in a mainstream or special school.
