NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE THE CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. BY ENTERING, ENTRANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES, WHICH SHALL BE FINAL IN ALL RESPECTS.
1. ELIGIBILITY
The Blossary ‘Business Blossary’ competition is offered by CSOFT International, Ltd. to all residents of countries where such contests are allowed by the laws of those countries. By entering the Contest, you accept sole responsibility for determining whether your participation is legal in any jurisdiction that applies to you. Participants must be of the age of maturity in their jurisdiction of residence and have active email account. Employees and directors of CSOFT and their affiliates are not eligible. By entering, you agree to these “Official Rules” and that the decisions of CSOFT are final and binding in all respects.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
2. CONTEST PERIOD
The Phase 1 Contest Period begins at 09:00:00 a.m. GMT on November 4, 2014 and ends at 11:59:00 p.m. GMT on December 8, 2014. Eligible participants can enter the contest at any time during the Phase 1 Contest Period. All contributions to the contest after the effective end date will not be counted.
The Phase 2 Contest Period begins at 09:00:00 a.m. GMT on December 8, 2014 and ends at 11:59:00 p.m. GMT on December 22, 2014. Eligible participants must accumulate Blossary points before the end of the Phase 2 Contest Period. All points accumulated after the effective end date will not be counted. All Blossary Likes from start of Phase 1 to end of Phase 2 will be counted.
3. TO ENTER
If you are already a registered user of Blossary.com or TermWiki.com, you will automatically be entered into the Business Blossary Phase 1 Contest when you first sign into Blossary.com after 09:00 a.m. GMT on November 4, 2014.
You can only participate in Business Blossary Phase 2 Contest if your Blossary or Blossaries have been chosen as part of the 100 best Business Blossaries from the Business Blossary Phase 1 Contest.
If you are not a registered user of Blossary.com, complete the free registration form for membership by filling out your full name, email address, and any other requested fields, and follow the other instructions set forth on Blossary.com. By becoming a registered contributor to Blossary.com and TermWiki.com, you incur no obligation other than your agreement to be bound by Blossary's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and to receive emails from Blossary and CSOFT.
To enter the Contest, your computer must accept cookies, so that CSOFT is able to track your entries in the Contest.
4. COMPETITION RULES
The rules for the competition are as follows:
Phase 1
Phase 1 Starts 09:00 (GMT) November 4, 2014 - Ends 11:59:00 p.m (GMT) December 8, 2014.
2. Business Blossaries must be in English.
3. Business Blossaries must include an image.
4. Business Blossary Terms must be in English. (You are welcome to translate each English term into other languages)
5. Business Blossary Term definitions must not be direct copies found on other online media. These include Wikipedia, Dictionary.com and Urbandictionary.com or any other third-party reference / encyclopedia site.
6. All Business Blossary Terms must include an image.
7. Business Blossaries must include a minimum of 20 terms.
8. Contestants must Like Blossary on Blossary.com
9. Contestants must become a Fan of Blossary on Facebook.com
10. Contestants must Follow Blossary on Instagram.com
11. Contestants must Follow Blossary on Twitter.com
Phase 2
• Phase 2 Starts 09:00 (GMT) December 8, 2014 and ends 11:59:00 p.m (GMT) December 22, 2014.
• Blossary.com Like equates to 10 points.
• Blossary.com Like plus an original and approved 20 terms Business Blossary from the same user equates to 50 points.
• Facebook.com share post equates to 5 points.
• Tweeter.com new tweet equates to 5 points. (No Re-tweets)
• All shared posts and tweets must include the hashtags #blossary and #blossarybiz. Shared posts and tweets without these two hashtags will not count to your points tally.
Competition Deadline
1. Phase 1 Starts 09:00 (GMT) November 4, 2014 - 11:59:00 pm (GMT) December 8, 2014.
2. Phase 2 Starts 09:00 (GMT) December 8, 2014 - 11:59:00 pm (GMT) December 22, 2014.
5. WINNER SELECTION
Phase 1
On December 9, 2014, 100 Business Blossaries will be chosen by a select group of Blossary judges to progress into the Business Blossary Phase 2 Contest. All Business Blossaries will be judged according to their content originality and presentation. The Blossary judges will also choose the best Phase 1 Business Blossary.
Phase 2
On December 23, 2014, the Blossary with the most accumulated points gathered from Blossary.com Likes as well as Facebook.com and Twitter.com shares and tweets will be announced as the Phase 2 Business Blossary.
In the unlikely event that there is a tie between two or more Participants, the winner will be made based on which Blossary received the most Blossary.com Likes. (To ensure competition fairness, only one Like can be accounted for by Blossary.com user accounts using the same email address.)
Participants agree that CSOFT has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this Contest, and that all decisions of CSOFT are final and binding. Finalists, by acceptance of the prizes listed below agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless CSOFT, as well as each of its respective parent and affiliated companies, and each of its employees, representatives, contractors, advertisers and sponsors from any and all liability, loss, damage, cost or claim relate to any allegation regarding the acceptance or use of their prize, including but not limited to the public release of submitted information.
The Phase 1 Winner will be notified via e-mail no later than November 25th, 2013.
The Phase 2 Winner will be notified via e-mail no later than December 10th, 2013.
6. PRIZE DETAILS
• The Phase 1 Prize:
o The Grand Prize consists of $200.
• The Phase 2 Prize:
o The Grand Prize consists of $800.
7. GENERAL CONDITIONS
CSOFT reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or the Website; to be in violation of the Terms of Use of the Website; to be acting in violation of these Official Rules; to be acting in a unethical or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, as determined by CSOFT at its sole discretion.
Any use of cartel, robotic, automatic, macro, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods and persons using any such methods will be disqualified.
If for any reason this Contest is not capable of being conducted as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of CSOFT, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, CSOFT reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. If the Contest is terminated due to tampering or technical difficulties prior to its expiration date, notice will be posted on Blossary.com’s website at http://www.blossary.com.
ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CSOFT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM THOSE RESPONSIBLE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
CSOFT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LATE, LOST, ILLEGIBLE, MISDIRECTED ENTRIES, AND CSOFT DOES NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ERROR, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, DEFECT, DELAY IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION, COMMUNICATIONS LINE FAILURE, THEFT OR DESTRUCTION OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO ITS WEBSITES. CSOFT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS OR TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION OF ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK OR TELEPHONE LINES, COMPUTER ON-LINE SYSTEMS, SERVERS, COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE, FAILURE OF ANY E-MAIL OR ENTRY TO BE RECEIVED BY CSOFT ON ACCOUNT OF TECHNICAL PROBLEMS, HUMAN ERROR OR TRAFFIC CONGESTION ON THE INTERNET OR AT ANY WEBSITE, OR ANY COMBINATION THEREOF.
