A high-end programmable coffee maker that is able to brew the perfect cup of coffee to the exacting taste of each coffee drinker. To accomplish its goals, the coffee maker uses a built-in computer and various sensors to determine the most suitable water temperature, amount of stirring over the course of the preparation, ratio of coffee to water, pressure, and amount of time the coffee is in contact with the water.
Blossom One is about the size of a traditional desktop computer, measuring 7 inches wide. It employs a special design so that the coffee maker only allows the coffee to touch glass and steel, which are inert materials that won’t react with it.
Blossom One is co-created by MIT graduate Jeremy Kuempel, former NASA intern Matt Walliser, and industrial design expert Joey Roth. As one of the best coffee machines in the world, Blossom One retails for a steep price at $11,000.
