automatic hyperlink

A mobile phone feature that automatically highlights, underlines and converts phone numbers, e-mail addresses, Web URLs or street names in a received message into clickable links. When the user clicks on the link, the phone will automatically dial it if it’s a phone number, open up a browser if it's a Web link, or launch an email program if it's an email address.

Auto hyperlink has been patented by Apple and used extensively on the iPhone. On December 19, 2011, Apple won a court victory against HTC that could force HTC to stop selling its Android phones featuring automatic hyperlinks in the United States.
