Persija Jakarta is an Indonesian football club from Jakarta. It is one of Indonesia's most successful clubs and the most popular sports club in the city. Persija Jakarta was founded on November 28, 1928, with the embryo called Voetbalbond Indonesische Jacatra (VIJ).
