Sauti Sol is a wildly popular Kenyan Afropop band. The group is composed of Bien-Aime Baraza, Willis Chimano, Delvin Mudigi, and Polycarp Otieno. Their music has strong traditional Kenyan influences, mixing sweet vocal harmonies and attractive drum rhythms. Each of the band members has dealt heavily with the stigma against music as a worthwhile career in their road to success. However, Sauti Sol has achieved international acclaim for their creativity and hard work. They have toured in Mali, the United States, and Sweden, among many other countries and won Artist of the Year at Kenya’s Social Media Awards in 2013.
