composite synchronization (CSYNC)
A signal that combines information about the horizontal and vertical timing intervals into one signal that is more complex than either horizontal synchronization (HSYNC) or vertical synchronization (VSYNC). CSYNC can be used to enable retrace of the electron beam of a display screen that supports composite video.
