Andrea Barzagli (born 8 May 1981 in Fiesole) is an Italian footballer who plays as a defender for Serie A club Juventus. Barzagli is known for his powerful physical build, and for being "strong in terms of anticipation, concentration and positional sense."

Barzagli retained his place in the starting lineup throughout the 2014 World Cup Qualifying campaign, as Italy qualified for the tournament undefeated, with two matches to spare, and Barzagli was called up for the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil, a tournament in which Italy finished in third place. Barzagli was also called up as one of Italy's starting centrebacks for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
