Counterfeit Island is the tenth island on Poptropica. It is a detective quest involving the Island's museum called the Museum Fantastique, which has some of the world's most famous paintings on display, including The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh and The Scream by Edvard Munch. There is an art thief named the Black Widow who is trying to steal the museum's most prized painting, The Scream. It is up to the player to capture the Black Widow and recover The Scream. The island was first released in January 2010. This island was the first island where the player enters an area which does not appear on the map, such a multi-player room the map says you are here in the area the player came from.
