residential work
Residential work-social work undertaken within units where people live, either permanently or temporarily. Residential provisios has many purposes: an alternative home, therapy, respite care, custody, diagnosis and assessment, or some combination of these. From workhouse to orphanage, from asylum to prison, residential work to some social end has existed for some considerable time.
